Commentary
This pre-main amplifier further pursues simple and straight ideas.
In order to prevent wiring materials and wiring from adversely affecting the music signal, we have ensured that volumes and switches are properly arranged. This eliminates the complicated routing of the signal path to the input terminal and speaker terminal and minimizes the signal path.
A large toroidal transformer is used for the power supply section.
Toroidal transformers consist of a toroidal ring core with a coil wound around it. Compared with conventional EI type and cut core transformers, toroidal transformers have superior performance in stable current supply, reducing leakage flux, and preventing vibration.
In addition, this transformer has been polished with DENON's unique technology and installed as a super stable toroidal power source.
The power amplifier is equipped with New Super Optical ClassA circuit.
By the newly developed bias control circuit, it is amplified as pure class A up to general listening level, and it is amplified as non-switching class A excellent in improvement of crossover distortion and switching distortion at large output.
An optical element is used to transmit control signals from the bias control circuit to the bias circuit, which completely eliminates mutual interference between the main signal system and the bias control circuit, and realizes high-speed bias control.
Low-impedance volume is adopted, and by lowering the impedance of volume control circuit, SN ratio and frequency characteristics at general listening level are improved.
It is equipped with a source direct function. When turned on, it bypasses control circuits such as Bass, Treble, Balance, Loudness, and Subsonic to provide a simple signal path.
