An AV amplifier for Dolby Pro Logic.

The Dolby Pro-Logic Surround System incorporates a directional enhancement circuit that dramatically improves the front-rear and left-right channel separation compared to conventional Dolby Surround playback.
Especially in the wide mode and normal mode where a center speaker is added to the center of the front speaker, the sound that should be emitted from the center, such as the dialogue of an actor, is localized to an independent center channel instead of a synthesized sound of left and right, so that the sense of localization, movement, and dynamic feeling of sound is improved.
For the Dolby Pro Logic, you can select the wide mode, which is best when the center speaker is of the same grade as the left and right speakers, the normal mode, which is best when the center channel is smaller than the left and right speakers, or the phantom mode, which is best when the center speaker is not used.
In normal mode, the signal of 100 Hz or less is divided into left and right channels and output. In phantom mode, the signal is reproduced by the directional enhancement circuit to locate electrically to the center.

The delay circuit uses a digital delay method, which greatly improves the SN ratio and distortion compared with analog methods.
The delay time can be selected from 15, 20, and 30 msec.

Equipped with a test tone generation circuit, fine level setting is possible.

Surround mode is installed so that even normal stereo recording software can enjoy surround effects.
The Surround mode can be selected from Hall / Stadium / Simulated Stereo. In particular, Simulated Stereo can be used to convert a mono source into a pseudo stereo.

A pre-out terminal is provided so that power amplifiers can be added.

The Rec Out Selector has two modes : Video and Audio. In the Video mode, you can select a recorded signal, and in the Audio mode, you can select a recorded signal. By combining these two modes, you can edit any combination of two different sources of audio and video. The recorded and recorded signals are output to the VCR1 and 2 jacks for recording, and to the DAT/Tape1, 2 and 3 jacks for recording.
For devices equipped with both input and output terminals such as VCR and DAT/Tape, a built-in inhibit circuit is provided to prevent a loop between playback and recording.

The basic circuit of the DENON pre-main amplifier advanced model is mounted on the front as it is.T20 MHz / Pc150W power transistor is used in single push-pull mode.
The power supply section is equipped with a 4.8 kg power transformer.

In order to prevent mutual interference between each circuit, each block of video signal board, audio signal board, power supply section and power amplifier section is separated by a chassis block for each function.

It is equipped with a superimpose function that displays the operation status of functions and functions on the TV monitor screen, and a multi-functional enhancer function that allows you to either record on VCR3 or record on VCR1 or 2 while monitoring.
Also, with the last function memory function, when the power is turned on/off by remote control, all functions are retained in the state immediately before the power is turned off.

It comes with a remote control that can control not only AVC-2000 but also DENON CD players and cassette decks. By using the learning function, you can register and control up to 154 functions of TVs, videos, and other audio devices of other companies.
