Mark-V

Commentary

Cartridge that uses Decker's original VL system.

The VL system consists of one horizontal coil and two vertical coils on the left and right sides. The output of the vertical coil is combined in stereo mode and only the horizontal coil is used in monaural mode, so excellent sound quality is obtained even in monaural mode.

The Mark-V series has succeeded in reducing hum, increasing output, reducing weight, and developing a new magnetic circuit.

In addition to the normal model Mark-V, there are Mark-V (E), Mark-V (EE) and Mark-V (M) for Mark-V, which can be checked by the body color.

Mark-V (E) was introduced as a selection model and has been carefully selected through rigorous testing, reducing the unevenness of various characteristics.

The Mark-V (EE) is a top-of-the-line model that utilizes the latest technology to bring out the advantages of the VL system. It was released later. The Mark-V (EE) uses an elliptical needle and a thinner cantilever material to reduce the effective mass of the vibration system. In addition, improvements have been made to the magnetic structure and damper to improve the high-frequency and low-frequency characteristics.

The Mark-V (M) was released as a low-cost model.
