Commentary

This is a power amplifier that meets the severe requirements for commercial use and incorporates ideas unique to dbx.

Uses multi-operating mode.
The operating mode selector on the rear panel allows you to operate as a 4-channel drive amplifier or a 2-channel drive amplifier with a total of four speakers in 4-channel (normal mode) and two speakers in 2-channel (bridge mode).

The power device uses two MOS-FETs for each channel in parallel push-pull mode to improve the current supply capability while maintaining a sufficient capacity with a drain loss of 1,600W.

The power supply section is equipped with an ultra-large toroidal transformer with a bifilar winding excellent in regulation and a 54,000 μ F power electrolytic capacitor.

The load impedance selector on the rear panel supports a low impedance of up to 2 Ω. This allows the amplifier to be driven without stress even when the combined impedance is low due to the parallel connection of speakers.

The input circuit is designed to withstand a maximum of + 24 dBv.
It also supports two way inputs through the balanced cannon connector and 3p phone jack. When you plug in the 2p phone plug, it automatically switches to an unbalanced input.

Equipped with a short-circuit detection and overcurrent detection type protector as a protection circuit.

The heat generated inside the amplifier is effectively dissipated by a forced cooling system in which air taken in from the air intake section of the front panel is released to the rear panel section by a cooling fan.
The fan speed can be switched between high and low levels.

The front panel is made of 6 mm thick aluminum and processed to increase strength and withstand rough handling. In addition, the knobs are placed one step further from the panel surface to prevent operation in consideration of safety during movement and transportation.

Operation, signal and clip LED indicators are mounted on the upper part of each channel's knob.
