CORAL X-III
¥ 30,000 (1 unit, released in 1982)
Commentary
This bookshelf speaker system incorporates the technological achievements of the X-VII and X-V and is compatible with direct-cutting discs and PCM discs.
A 21 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The corn is made from a blend of several kinds of pulp materials by the unique manufacturing method of Coral. The edge is roll edge which has high compliance and shows excellent linearity even at large amplitude of corn paper. The magnet is ferrite magnet.
A 6 cm hard dome type skoker is mounted in the middle area.
It uses Mg-Cu attached ultra-hard light alloy diaphragm originally developed by Coral, and realizes wide-band reproduction.
In addition, a tangential edge with excellent linearity on the edge and a large back cavity with a wide margin for low fo are used to improve sound quality.
A 1.6 cm hard dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
As for the diaphragm, Mg-Cu attached ultra-hard alloy diaphragm is adopted in the same way as Skoker.
The crossover frequency is selected for the network based on both characteristics and emphasis on hearing.
In addition, the DC resistance component is reduced by using a coil made of a DT core laminated with special magnetic material for the element, and molding is applied to prevent vibration.
The enclosure uses particleboards of sufficient thickness and has a mahogany-like finish.
