Commentary
This stage series 2-way speaker system was developed with the theme of improving directional characteristics.
A 16 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
For the cone paper, hollow formed cone paper (hollow molding cone paper) made by a special manufacturing method is adopted. High efficiency is realized by making it light and hard. In addition, various mixing methods are adopted for pulp, which influences physical characteristics, and transient characteristics are improved.
In addition, the S-roll type Skyper edge is adopted for the edge, and the amplitude distortion is greatly improved by improving the linearity against the amplitude.
A super tweeter is installed in the high range.
The Stage-1 is equipped with a wide radiation lens, a circular acoustic lens originally developed by Coral. Compared with the conventional acoustic lens effect only in the horizontal direction, the Stage-1 realizes a diffusion angle close to non-directional and greatly improves directional characteristics.
The front baffle is equipped with an acoustic absorption baffle. By adopting a special structure with acoustic transparency and acoustic resistance, the effect of the acoustic lens is enhanced and phase distortion due to interference between units is improved. The flat structure on both sides of the baffle surface prevents phase interference and sound field disturbance due to reflection from the surroundings.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed and has a walnut finish on the exterior.
