A dedicated CS tuner for Music Bird that employs a reserve power supply circuit.

The Reserve II power supply circuit used in the NEC A-10 series is used for the power circuit.
In a general power supply, the current in the rectifying stage changes according to the load fluctuation, so the music signal current flows to the main electrolytic capacitor of the rectifying stage. In the electrolytic capacitor of the rectifying stage through which the music signal flows, the intermittent charging current is superimposed according to the power supply frequency, so the music signal is always modulated by the intermittent current.
The reserve II power supply greatly reduces the peak value of the charging current by supplying an auxiliary current to fill the valley of the intermittent charging current into the main electrolytic capacitor. In addition, compared with the switching power supply, the noise component superimposed on the power supply line is less than that of the switching power supply, and the advantage of sound quality is also obtained. By this reserve II power supply, the fluctuation of the current flowing in the capacitor of the transformer power supply is suppressed to about 1 / 3. In addition, the reserve power supply can supply a stable voltage without noise, and is resistant to voltage fluctuation with respect to the load.

A newly designed R-core transformer with windings for the power supply for the tuner circuit and for the power supply for the audio circuit has been adopted for the power supply section, providing a power supply environment that completely eliminates the switching power supply and improving sound quality.

The Wolfson WM8741GEDS is used for the DAC section in dual monaural configuration.
The sampling rate converter is Cirrus Logic CS 8420 to CSZ, and the operational amplifier is Texas Instruments OPA2604AP and Linear Technology LT1116.

The capacitor around the DAC uses a conductive polymer aluminum solid electrolytic capacitor made by Panasonic Corporation, which is noise resistant and broadband, and a metallic film resistor made by Linkman Corporation is used for the resistor.

It is equipped with a simple digital input function and a DAC function that converts audio signals input via the digital coaxial into analog signals. It can be used as a D/A converter by inputting CD audio signals via the digital coaxial terminal and switching the switch on the rear panel side.
This function requires that an antenna be connected to the dark input terminal of the C-T100CS.

Equipped with an external clock input function, it can be connected to devices with 12.288 mhz output.
When an external clock input is used, the operation mode inside the tuner is fixed to 48 kHz sampling mode.

The internal operating mode can be switched between 48 kHz and 96 kHz by switching the switch on the rear panel. In 96 kHz mode, processing is performed at twice the sampling frequency of 48 kHz, so you can enjoy higher definition sound.

The internal construction separates the digital and analog systems, and the digital part is covered with a shield plate to reduce the influence of digital noise.

The front panel uses an aluminum machined panel with a textured finish.
In addition, it uses the Conclusion brand's traditional brass carving three point legs based on the idea of mechanical ground construction.

Wireless remote control is included.
