R-DAC
Commentary

A reference D/A converter that inherits cello's unique sense of music beauty.

Unlike conventional high-end D/A converters, the R-DAC does not require sound quality standards for analog disks or analog master tapes. Instead, the R-DAC refines sound quality by using raw performance sound before recording as a standard.
In order to achieve this, we record the performance of a musician with a cello recording system and immediately play it back with an R-DAC to compare it with the live sound of the musician and improve the sound quality. We perform ideal sound quality tuning by evaluating the sound quality under exactly the same conditions, such as the recording technology, the physical characteristics of the room, and the psychological and mental condition of the engineer himself.

The digital filter uses an 8 x oversampling method.
An anti-imaging filter is used in the filter circuit to avoid roll-off and phase distortion at high frequencies usually caused by digital filters.

Full 20-bit resolution provides high-quality playback over the entire bandwidth.

The analog circuit uses P301, a premium output module that is also incorporated in the cello audio suite preamp.
This module is a discrete configuration that eliminates circuit interference. It uses two modules per channel, so that it is guided to the output with the same phase management as a dual amplifier.
The analog output gain can be adjusted with the trim pot on the rear panel, and the left / right balance can be adjusted with the built-in test tone.

It is compatible with UV-22 (TM REG) Super CD encoding system developed by Apogee Electronics.
This system enriches the information content of the low-level music signal even when playing CDs in the 16-bit normal format, and enables the transmission of delicate nuances.

Equipped with Route 6 digital input, it can be connected to various devices.
There are four AES/EBU inputs using the XLR terminal and two SPDIF inputs using the RCA terminal, both of which are gold-plated.

The outputs have a Route 3 that can be used simultaneously.
The balanced connector and XLR are gold-plated, and the unbalanced connector and RCA are gold-plated.
