Commentary

This speaker system was introduced as a successor to SL-6.

A 15 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses a one pea scone without a dust cap. The cone is made of a special chemical material based on Celestion's unique know-how. In addition, it uses a double suspension system, and combined with a large ferrite magnet, it has an excellent low-frequency reproduction capability.
In addition, the cone edge is tightly connected to the cone by molecular bonds, making the area from the center to the edge seamless.

A 3.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm is made of aluminum meta Le Dome, the voice coil is directly wound on the diaphragm, and the special suspension support gives excellent response. In addition, the diaphragm itself acts as a heat sink to dissipate heat generated from the voice coil, and the unit itself has excellent input resistance of 140W.

A die-cast frame is used for the frames of the woofer and tweeter to eliminate unnecessary resonance.

The network section is simple with only four elements.

A medite is used for the enclosure to reduce unnecessary radiation from the side plate and box squeal.

There was a specially designed speaker stand that was sold separately.
This stand is made entirely of metal and has 2 center poles. After assembly, the center pole is filled with fine stones and sand.
In addition, it can be firmly fixed to the floor with 4 spikes.
