Commentary
This speaker system employs the units used in the SL-6, the prototype of the SL series, and a newly designed network.
A 15 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The vibration plate of this unit has a unique structure of a perfect one pea scone without a cap when it is taken out, and special scientific materials based on Celestion's unique know-how are used for the cone materials. In addition, the single suspension is connected to the cone by molecular bonds, and realizes seamless from the center to the edge, and realizes a unit with strong input resistance.
A 3.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm is made of copper meta Le Dome and has a self-cooling structure in which a voice coil is wound directly on the diaphragm. The diaphragm acts as a heat sink to dissipate heat generated from the voice coil. The unit itself has a large allowable input power of 140W.
The input terminal is of a ring type or in which HF and LF are separated.
In addition, the low-pass and high-pass networks are completely independent structures, and polypropylene capacitors are used for internal parts.
Aluminum honeycomb (air loam) is used for the enclosure.
There was a special speaker stand as an option sold separately.
