Commentary
A compact phono preamplifier that can be set in various ways depending on the cartridge characteristics.
PH53 is compatible with both MM and MC cartridges, and precise adjustment is possible by the DIP switch on the bottom.
The input impedance of the MM cartridge is fixed at 47k Ω. The MC cartridge can be selected from 100 Ω for medium output and 1k Ω for high output. It is also equipped with a gain switch to enhance the sensitivity by 6 db or 20 db.
In addition to the unbalanced input, the current injection balance terminal is mounted, and the output is equipped with 2 systems of balanced and unbalanced.

It is equipped with a new technology, current injection, which can convert the current output signal into voltage without returning the voltage change to the previous output stage in the conversion from current output source to voltage.
By using the current injection in combination with the LEF circuit, it is possible to convert a current signal into a voltage signal and amplify and transmit it without any degradation of sound quality caused by signal feedback.
In this system, there is no extra amplification stage or negative feedback, so it is possible to draw out the maximum capability of the MC cartridge.
This circuit only applies when balanced MC inputs are used, not RCA inputs.
Based on the RIAA characteristics, the PH53 uses Neumann's characteristics for the high-frequency band. With this characteristic, the frequency falls steadily up to 50 kHz, and the frequency above that falls gradually or becomes flat. It is highly trusted by professional recording sites.
In addition, it is equipped with a subsonic filter to prevent mid-range opacity due to mechanical vibration noise vibration distributed below 15 Hz. In addition to on / off, the descent angle can be switched between 2 stages of soft and max.
It has a LEF (Load Effect Free) circuit unique to CEC.
This LEF circuit realizes fine reproduction sound and high efficiency.
