Commentary
The D/A converter was developed by putting together the best digital technology of CEC.
The D/A conversion section is equipped with two PCM1792A, the highest grade DAC manufactured by Bar Brown Co., on the left and right sides independently.
It is equipped with a newly developed low-jitter crystal oscillator circuit, enabling accurate and dynamic playback.
Equipped with 5 types of input terminals, it supports AES/EBU (32 to 192 khz), Coaxial (32 to 192 khz), Toslink (32 to 96 khz), Super Link (44.1 khz), and USB1.1 (32 to 48 khz).
For AES/EBU, Coaxial and Toslink connections, the PLL circuit of the SPDIF receiver reduces jitter, and three oversampling options are available : 32 fs, 64 fs and 128 fs.
Turning on the sample-rate converter resynchronizes with the internal low-jitter 96 kHz master clock.
A low-jitter USB/I2S converter is used for USB connection.
It is equipped with a super link terminal which is a transmission method unique to CEC.
In this system, digital audio signals, master clocks, bit clocks, and L/R clocks are transmitted independently to minimize sound degradation due to mixed signals and achieve delicate and clear playback sound.
In addition, since the signal from the CD transport is synchronized using the master clock of DA1N, generation of jitter can be reduced to the limit.
The SuperLink terminal is equipped with a D-sub 9-pin terminal which is used for connection with conventional devices such as the TL51X and TL51XR, as well as a BNC type input terminal using four high-quality 75 Ω cables.
The digital filter can switch between flat pulses with excellent frequency characteristics and pulses with excellent dynamic characteristics.
The analog circuit consists of the latest version of the current injection I/V converter circuit and the LEF audio circuit without feedback.
The output jacks are equipped with XLR balance and RCA imbalance.
Unbalanced terminals are custom-made.
The power supply section uses a switching power supply with a built-in active AC power clean-up circuit.
It is equipped with three independent transformers that supply power to the control circuit, digital and analog audio circuits individually.
The power supply section is internally shielded and separated from the audio section.
Equipped with a large VFD display that displays the input mode, input sampling rate, and oversampling rate.
Wireless remote control is included.
The model number of the DA1N was DA6300.
