CANTON Karat 920
¥ 58,000 (1 unit, around 1991)
Commentary
A speaker system equivalent to the refined model of the Karat20N.
A 20 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
Graphite-reinforced polypropylene cone is used for the diaphragm, and the harmful split vibration of the cone is reduced by excellent internal loss.
A 2.5 cm hard-domed tweeter is installed in the high range.
A manganese / aluminum diaphragm developed in the field of aerospace science is adopted for the diaphragm, and the heat radiation effect is enhanced by the integral structure with the bobbin.
Also, a double magnet is used for the magnetic circuit.
The network part is designed with an emphasis on phase characteristics, and phase distortion is suppressed by improving group delay characteristics of the network between units.
The enclosure uses a CAD-designed bass reflex system.
The exterior features a felt baffle and round corners to eliminate unwanted sound radiation and enhance the interior.
By using a large screw type terminal for the input terminal, it is also compatible with very thick cables.
