Cambridge DacMagic Plus
Discretionary price (around ¥ 75,000, released on February 1, 2012)
Commentary
The D/A converter is the successor to the DacMagic released in 2010.
It uses the latest Anagram Technologies ATD2 algorithm, analyzes digital audio signals from PCs, digital iPod docks, TVs, etc., and up-samples the signals into a 384 kHz / 24-bit signal.
The D/A converter uses Wolfson's WM8740 in a dual differential configuration.
USB, S/PDIF S/PDIF and Toslink.
The USB connection supports up to 192kHz/24bit and asynchronous USB transfer eliminates jitter.
Equipped with a headphone amplifier and digital preamplifier function.
The outputs correspond to RCA and XLR balance and the Route 3 of the headphone.
The digital filter is equipped with ADSP21261 manufactured by Analog Devices.
Equipped with digital filter switching function, 3 types of filters, linear/minimum/steep, can be selected.
There are 2 color variations of silver and black.
Vertical installation is possible by using the attached stand.
