Commentary
A speaker system developed based on the design philosophy of the DM-1 monitor speaker.
DW200/4 which is a 20 cm cone type woofer is mounted in the low range.
This unit uses a BX cone with an effective aperture of 143 mm and a voice coil with an aperture of 26 mm. The voice coil and bobbin are processed in the same manner as DW200, which is used in DM-2, so that it can withstand large input. In addition, a specially flexible PCV (Victrone) is used for the edge to ensure linearity from small amplitude to large amplitude.
The HF1300/II, a 3.5 cm dome type tweeter, is mounted in the high range.
This unit is a modified version of the HF1300 used in the BBC monitor speaker and is designed to smoothly follow the DW200/4.
A 1.8 cm dome type super tweeter using a plastic diaphragm is mounted in the super high frequency range.
The enclosure is a bass reflex design using a hard chip board.
