This is a phono equalizer amplifier developed as a product suitable for analog playback in the 21st century by greatly brush-up the phono equalizer 838.

There are two input systems, and the system is adopted in which the user selects one of the combinations of MC + MC, MC + MM, and MM + MC at the time of order.
The XLR-RCA adapter is included for connection with unbalanced output devices. The tone arm output cable with XLR male plug is also included for tone arm with DIN-5P output.

The configuration of the equalizer circuit is almost the same as that of the optional equalizer board for Preamplifier 077.
The circuit system is CR + NF type. It combines the advantages of CR type, which has dynamic sound quality and tends to maintain a constant distortion rate in all bands, and NF type, which has excellent SN ratio. It also ensures high SN ratio at MC input.

Input impedance of MC cartridge specification equalizer can be set from 6 types.
In addition, the input capacitance of the MM cartridge specification equalizer can be set from 6 types.

You can switch to volume control mode by pressing the switch on the front panel. This enables volume control with a single 100 unit, so that it can be connected directly to a power amplifier without using a preamplifier.
To enter volume adjustment mode, a specific switch operation is required to prevent playback at the maximum volume in case of an accident.

Equipped with an auto-adjust function, the gain can be adjusted automatically by detecting the volume difference between left and right channels.
When using the Auto Adjust function, operate the selector switch and play back the test tone recorded in the attached test record. While the Auto Adjust function is used to adjust the volume error, normal record playback is not available.

A large-capacity toroidal transformer is used for the power supply. A 400V/4A class bridge diode is used for the rectifier. A number of 4700 μ F electric field capacitors are connected in parallel to provide a total capacity exceeding 30,000 μ F, thereby reducing the impedance of the power supply. A regulator IC is used for the power supply smoothing section, which is attached to a large heat sink to stabilize operation.

The power supply section and the input / output section of digital signals are integrated into one board, and a tight shield plate is installed between the power supply section and the equalizer board section.
This eliminates the influence of other circuits on the analog signal system.

Equipped with an analog VU meter for volume display, which can be selected from three display specifications : right-channel only, left-channel only, or a combination of both channels.
LED with high durability and low current consumption is used for various displays including meter back light.

The lighting and display LEDs can be completely turned off by operating the front panel, and the illuminance can be adjusted to 3 levels when they are on.

You can use the remote the remote control included with other Blumester products.

Remote Controller 005 is included.
The 005 allows input switching, input impedance switching, gain switching, volume control, power OFF / OFF, and operation of other devices manufactured by Burgundy. It also allows sampling rate switching when equipped with an optional A/D converter.

An optional A/D converter module is available for digital output at up to 192kHz/24bit. The module features USB, TOS, and SPDIF Route 3 outputs for connection to a personal computer.
The SPDIF provides 192kHz/24bit output, while the USB output provides 48kHz/24bit output.
