Commentary

Line-only preamplifier designed to be combined with Model838mk2, a phono dedicated preamplifier.

The built-in amplification stage of 846mk2 realizes transmission with less signal degradation.
In addition, by providing a stable output stage with ultra-low impedance, high-quality signals are secured even when connected to a power amplifier with a long cable. In addition, the gain level can be switched so that the power amplifier can be fully driven even with low output signals.

The CD-only input stage allows you to adjust the sensitivity in three levels according to your preference. This allows you to compensate for the output parameter sensitivity which is not standardized in current CD playback.

Both balanced and unbalanced output jacks are available.
The input terminals are unbalanced, but can be changed to balanced depending on the option.

Tape dubbing by 2-way signal monitoring is possible.

It is a dual monaural design including the transformer in the independent power supply box, and there is no intermodulation between each channel.

A step-type attenuator type level controller using a low-capacity register and an effective range doubling independent switch is adopted.

The power amplier or active speaker can be remotely turned on / off by the DC signal of the independent power box.
