Commentary

This medium-sized speaker system was developed in pursuit of on-site sound.

The 314 is designed based on the direct / reflective theory.
The direct / reflective theory pursues the relationship between direct sound and indirect sound in live performance. The direct sound delivered from the front of the speaker without reflection and the sound reflected from the back wall or side wall at a specific ratio and angle reproduce the presence of live performance in a relatively small space such as a home.
In the 314, the direct / reflective tweeter compensates for the indirect sound energy, and the stereo targeting tweeter directly reviews the sound energy balance to realize the realistic sensation.

The 314 is installed with a stereo targeting tweeter in the layout for the inner listener, so that the direct / reflexing tweeter directed obliquely backward spreads sound throughout the room, creating an ideal indirect sound field.

A 20 cm cone type woofer is mounted for low range.

For high frequencies, the stereo targeting tweeter is equipped with a 5.1 cm cone type, and the direct / refreshing tweeter with a 7.5 cm cone type.
In these units, a magnetic fluid is filled in the space between the magnet and the voice coil to prevent disturbance of impedance with an appropriate vibration control effect, provide excellent cooling effect to the voice coil, and improve durability.

The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
In order to prevent distortion noise caused by wind noise generated from the Basref port outlet, the 314 uses the Aero-Flare port, which is also used in Bose's small speakers. This port has a slit shape with fluid dynamics to prevent turbulence at the port outlet and eliminate port noise.
The enclosure uses a composite cabinet with a complex structure. By combining a specially molded resin material that can be processed with high precision with a wooden material that provides an excellent musical sound, the enclosure achieves high precision and resonance frequency dispersion with different materials.

As options sold separately, there were ceiling hanging bracket, wall hanging bracket, floor stand, and floor tripod stand.
