Commentary

A typical Bose speaker system.

A 20 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses a newly developed special pulp material to lighten the vibration system, controls the damping value by devising dampers and edges, and employs a 6-layer voice coil and a powerful magnetic circuit.
This unit has achieved a high input resistance that can withstand a peak power of 250W and a continuous power of 70W, enabling distortion-free playback up to 3 kHz or more.

A cone-shaped tweeter is installed in the high range considering the connection with the woofer.
Corn paper is made of special pulp with high internal loss and high Young's modulus similar to Woofer.

There is a unique focusing control on the front of the tweeter unit that enables you to adjust the acoustic energy by adjusting the angle. This focusing control has a unique shape with several patents.

A dual-frequency network is used in the network section.
In this system, there are two crossover points, and the woofer and tweeter share a common playback band for more than one octave in the mid-range, so that flat and smooth frequency characteristics are obtained in all bands.
In addition, consideration has been given to parts, and only capacitors that show no deterioration in their characteristics are used when their capacity is rechecked after a sufficient aging test.
The level control has been eliminated because there is a risk that the sound quality deteriorates due to power loss.

The front baffle has a structure unique to Bose in which the part where the tweeter is mounted is tilted by 45 degrees, enabling natural high-range playback.
The enclosure is made of chips made from a mix of Canadian Maple and White Birch wood, which are pressed with high pressure and processed with resin. In addition, the front baffle is 33 mm thick and the other is 18 mm thick to reduce unnecessary resonance.

The enclosure comes in two variations, black and white, and the white model comes in four grill variations (Lounge, Cafeteria, Wedding Chapel and Boutique).
The grill was sold separately as an optional item.

Installation with a high degree of freedom is possible by using the option sold separately.
