Commentary
A speaker system using the ALTEC speaker unit.
The unit is equipped with ALTEC Lansing 10 cm cone type speaker CF404-8A.
This unit is the successor to the ALTEC 405 series. It has an acoustically insulated dome in the center to obtain wide directional characteristics while playing back to high frequencies. It also uses an aluminum die-cast frame for the frame and special cone paper that can withstand high humidity for the cone paper.
Specially processed 12-mm-thick Yonematsu plywood is used for the enclosure.
The speaker connector is gold contact type, and the internal bus cable connecting the speaker unit and connector is made of high-purity copper wire.
