Commentary

A bookshelf type speaker system that uses a concave diaphragm.

The SS 510 is designed with an emphasis on three points : evaluation, physical characteristics, and sound quality. In addition, it is designed with an emphasis on the characteristics of 30 ° direction which is heavy for the actual listening position.

A 25 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A concave diaphragm with a concave center cap is used for the diaphragm. By using the center cap itself as part of the diaphragm, the expansion near the crossover is suppressed and the extreme resonance peak is reduced to obtain simple characteristics.
In addition, a unique radial edge is adopted for the edge, and by forming an Ω shape with two types of curves with different radii of curvature, division vibration at the edge is suppressed.
Uses a strong magnet of 120 φ x20t.

Equipped with 12 cm cone type skoker in the middle area.
Similar to the woofer, this unit also uses a concave diaphragm and an SD (Scattering Deflector) filter on the front of the diaphragm to expand directional characteristics.

A 3 cm soft dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm uses special paper developed based on the results obtained by measuring and listening to various candidate materials. In addition, transient characteristics are improved by an edge support structure that supports the diaphragm with a viscoelastic body (urethane rubber).

It is equipped with 5-step switching type level control for high band and middle band.

The enclosure uses a pressure balance system.
The pressure balance system is close to hermetic, and is designed to balance the internal pressure by allowing only unwanted vibrations outside the audible band to escape from the baffle port, thereby reducing the hermetic enclosure and the bus-ref-type boumey.
In addition, 21 mm thick plate material is used for the front baffle and 18 mm thick plate material is used for other parts. The exterior is finished with Yonematsu Tsuki-plate clear lacquer wax finish.
A expanded metal is used to protect the unit.
