AR-110
Commentary

Armless record player with mechanical floating system.

The floating system is composed mainly of springs and a combination of elastic cushioning materials with different vibration coefficients. The suspension is tuned for both sound quality and ease of use. The drive motor is separated from the floating deck to prevent motor vibration from being transmitted.
In addition, the three point support floating deck has a black matte finish made of thick aluminum alloys, and a Rusk vibration absorbing material is installed on the back of the deck just below the armboard to reduce vibrations from the outside.

The turntable is made of aluminum alloy with a diameter of 30 cm and weight of 3.2 kg. The turntable and the shaft with a diameter of 15 mm are polished together after fitting to ensure accurate horizontal and vertical positioning. In addition, the shaft and bearing are long enough to prevent rattling and loosening of the turntable. The bearing oil is a special synthetic lubricating oil that does not change viscosity due to fundamental sound.
A heavy wood ring is built into the back of the turntable to improve the moment of inertia and to suppress the metallic sound caused by the turntable squeal.

Newly developed original high conductivity felt mat is used for the turntable seat.
The original mat with a thickness of 5 mm provides a high antistatic effect and reduces scratch noise by suppressing the generation of static electricity.

The drive system uses a belt drive system, and the drive belt uses a neoprene belt.
This belt is polished on 4 sides, front and back, both sides.

A DC servo motor is used as the drive motor.
The motor section absorbs microvibration caused by rotation through a damper material.

A special order transformer with less leakage is used for the power supply.

Equipped with strobe, speed fine adjustment of + 12% to -6% is possible.

The cabinet has a monocoque structure, especially with a 35 mm thick bottom plate, and a flat bottom can be obtained by removing the four legs.

You can adjust the level of the deck by turning 3 screws from right above the board.

AR-110 has been considered for use with Rusk vibration absorbers from the design stage, and a wide contact surface can be secured.
The Rusk insulator uses a special gray cast iron with a large damping capacity to provide high vibration absorption and sound absorption. The I-5040mkII is the best choice for the AR 110.
