Commentary
Active speaker developed as the best near-field monitor speaker system.
The SCM20A PRO uses the same unit as the SCM20sl.
The unit design inherits the basics of ATC such as a large magnet system, short ribbon voice coil, long stroke gap, etc. Moreover, the quality suitable for monitor speakers is realized by minimizing eddy current distortion.
A 6.5 inch cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit is designed by applying the magnetic circuit of the woofer unit installed in the SCM100sl and SCM50sl. It is also composed of a 3-inch mid-range soft dome combined with a woofer cone with excellent split vibration characteristics to realize a unit with excellent transient characteristics.
In addition, a new structure equipped with an eddy current ring made of super linear magnetic material has been adopted to improve the performance of the unit.
A 1-inch domed tweeter is installed in the high range.
This unit has the same specifications as SCM100sl/SCM50sl.
The network section employs an electronic debinding network designed in-house and is incorporated with a 2-channel power amplifier.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
High density MDF is used for the baffle board and aluminum die cast is used for the enclosure.
Professional specification XLR terminal is used for input terminal.
It is equipped with a low-frequency equalizer that can adjust the input sensitivity by ± 6 dB and 40 Hz in the range from 0 to + 6 dB, so it can be used under various operating conditions.
