ATC SCM20
420,000 yen(one set, the July, 1990 release)

Description

The speaker system developed as the first compact studio control monitor in an ATC brand.
It assumed that the common sense of "compact = low cost" is the hindrance of a quality, and was born after the research and development which attain to three years and a half.

An 18cm corn type Woofer is carried in low-pass.
The length of the gap of a magnetic circuit is set as 20mm which hits several usual times. Thereby, show with a volume width of 8mm and a voice coil are made to exercise in an always uniform magnetic field, and distortion is reduced.
Moreover, the strong aluminum die-casting frame is adopted as the frame.

The same 2.5cm soft dome tweeter as large-sized studio monitor's SCN100A etc. is carried in the high region.
The magnetic fluid is raising magnetic efficiency and an input-proof.

A large-sized empty core coil and a high proof-pressure metallized polypropylene capacitor are adopted and followed to a crossover network.

Baffle thickness sets to 36mm with a small speaker, and gross weight serves as about 23kg and very firm structure.
Moreover, the surface finishing can choose now those with 4 patterns, and favorite finishing.
