Commentary
This speaker system was developed as the ATC brand's first compact studio control monitor.
It was born after three and a half years of research and development, because the common sense of "compact = low cost" is an obstacle to quality.
A 18 cm cone woofer is installed in the low range.
The gap length of the huge magnetic circuit is set to 20 mm, which is several times longer than usual, and the distortion is reduced by moving the short voice coil with winding width of 8 mm in the uniform sea surface.
In addition, a sturdy aluminum die-cast frame is used for the frame.
The high-frequency band is equipped with a 2.5 cm soft dome tweeter similar to the SCM100A large-size studio monitor.
Magnetic efficiency and input resistance are improved by magnetic fluid.
The crossover network employs large air-core coils and high-pressure metalized polypropylene capacitors.
Although it is a small speaker, the baffle thickness is 36 mm, and the total weight is approximately 23 kg, making the structure very strong.
In addition, there were 4 patterns of surface finish, and you could choose your favorite finish.
There was a speaker stand as an option sold separately.
