D/A converter for 48 kHz.
Uses Arkham custom IC.
Many D/A converters use several ICs in the digital processing part, so the rise time of the digital signal is faster, acting like an antenna between the circuit trace and the IC, and generating high-frequency noise.
Arkham's custom-designed ICs replace all of these ICs and the wires connected to them, eliminating the biggest source of noise.
The D/A converter IC is specially selected and manufactured by Philips.
The analog filter has a fully discrete configuration and has excellent noise characteristics compared to filters composed of IC amplifiers.
The power supply employs an independent transformer and seven independent regulators for analog and digital circuits, ensuring a stable power supply.
In addition, the star earth system minimizes power supply noise.
Aluminum is used for the whole case to suppress external vibration that adversely affects sound.
In addition, the D/A converter board is fixed to the sorbose vibration damper.
Two digital inputs are provided : coaxial and optical.
Sampling frequencies of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz are also available for connection with DAT devices.
