Commentary
A floor-type speaker system of the Hi-Tech series.
It has a 20 cm cone woofer in the low range and a 20 cm cone midrange in the middle range.
In these units, the network cuts only the woofer unit at a slope of 350 Hz to 6 dB / oct, and the mid-range unit also takes care of the lower range, thus improving the bass playback by adopting a dual woofer configuration.
A 3.2 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
By injecting a magnetic fluid between the pole piece and yoke, the power handling capability is improved. In addition, the magnetic fluid naturally guides the voice coil to the center axis of the pole piece, improving the accuracy of the unit and enabling reproduction with less distortion. This magnetic fluid is a colloidal binder mixed with fine metal particles, and has the property that the liquid moves according to the strength of the magnetic field.
In addition, an acoustic blanket is attached around the tweeter to absorb middle and high sound coming around the edge of the enclosure and to suppress the irregular reflection of sound.
A 17 AWG air-core coil, electrolytic capacitor, and non-inductive high input resistance ceramic resistor are used in the network section.
The enclosure is made of high-density particle board with a black mold finish on the top panel and legs, and a black net with excellent acoustic transparency on the side including the front baffle.
The inner system uses the traditional acoustic suspension system, and the air inside the fully enclosed enclosure acts as a spring to support the cone to improve bass reproduction.
