AR-4x
Commentary

Based on the AR-4, which was released in 1965 and became explosively popular, this speaker system is a model change of the tweeter.

It uses a 20 cm cone woofer for the low range and a 6 cm cone tweeter for the high range.

It is equipped with a level control for the high frequency band.

The enclosure uses an acoustic suspension system.
This method was invented by Edgar Villechier and was developed to eliminate the disadvantage of conventional speakers in which harmonic distortion is especially large at low frequencies.
This system uses high-strength cone paper and a completely sealed box without air leakage and resonance, and suppresses parasitic finger motion and distortion during low sound reproduction.

The exterior is finished with a walnut oil finish.
