Commentary
This speaker system was developed to let more people enjoy the sound quality of ribbon speakers.
The CENTAURUS (Kenta Ursu) is a hybrid design of ribbon type and cone type. The cone type unit receives the low frequency band to realize cost reduction and miniaturization while avoiding low impedance.
It is equipped with a 20 cm cone type woofer made of polypropylene cone for the low range.
A 60-cm-long ribbon-type unit designed for broadband is installed in the mid-range area.
The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
