Commentary
This cassette deck is filled with AKAI's technology and experience including the GX head.
GX head is used for the head part.
This head uses low-noise crystal ferrite for the head core. Compared with metal heads such as permalloy and Sendust, this head not only has excellent characteristics such as frequency characteristics, distortion factor, and dynamic range, but also demonstrates excellent performance such as abrasion resistance, low noise, and dust resistant.
A new tape travel mechanism is adopted for the mechanism part.
In the conventional mechanism, a pin-shaped tape guide is directly attached to the head. However, with a tape guide having a narrow contact surface with the tape, it is difficult to control the shape of the cassette tape, which is delicate in both thickness and width, without losing it, and there are problems such as winding and deflection of the tape edge and uneven crimping.
The mechanism of the GXC-704D is designed so that the tape guide is separated from the head and the contact surface with the tape is widened so as not to damage the tape. This ensures stable tape travel and eliminates deflection and uneven crimping at the recording / reproducing head which directly affect sound quality.
Equipped with a 4-position tape selector.
Equipped with Dolby NR as a noise reduction system.
In addition to the VU meter, it is equipped with a peak level indicator.
Timer standby mechanism is adopted, and it is compatible with absence recording and alarm clock playback.
Uses a large coaxial input volume for easy fade-in and fade-out operations.
It has an output volume that can also adjust the volume of the headphones.
It uses a mono microphone mechanism. When you use the L-channel terminal with one microphone, the signal is automatically distributed to the R-channel, making it possible to use the center microphone for vocals.
Uses a direct function change lever.
Equipped with an auto-stop mechanism that opens the mechanism at the tape end.
Uses an oil dump ejection mechanism that allows the cassette holder to be opened and closed smoothly.
