Commentary
This is a vertical type cassette deck that omits the Dolby NR system from GXC-502D.
It adopts a vertical layout in which operation panels are collected on the front panel.
The cassette tape can be set straight so that tracks can be read through the removable transparent lid, tape running and remaining capacity can be clearly identified, and maintenance such as head degaussing and capstan cleaning can be easily performed.
Single crystal GX head is used for recording and re-head.
The single-crystal core of this head is covered with glass that does not adhere to dust around the core to prevent dust from adhering to the tape magnetic material. In addition, since the electromagnetic conversion characteristics are efficient, the dynamic range is wide and excellent high-frequency characteristics are realized.
A low-noise transistor and low-noise resistor are used in the first stage of the amplifier section to reduce noise.
The double-end push-pull system realizes stable operation, reduces bias noise, and improves performance.
Uses a full direct function change mechanism that can be ejected directly from any mode.
In addition, it is equipped with a pop-up mechanism so that when the eject button is pressed, the lid window opens and the cassette half pops out.
Equipped with an auto-stop mechanism. When tape winding is finished in each mode, the auto-stop device stops the tape running, the indicator lamp goes off, and the mechanism is released automatically.
It uses a pause button with a temporary stop lock.
Equipped with a 2-position tape selector that supports low-noise tapes and chrome tapes, you can switch three elements with one touch : recording bias amount, recording level, and time constant during playback.
Equipped with a 3-digit index counter.
Equipped with a large VU meter.
It can be installed on the wall surface with 2 hooks provided on the back.
