Commentary
This is a tape deck developed with unique red technology based on the long-life trend.
By adopting a direct drive system, excellent wow flutter characteristics are obtained, and aging of the belt etc. is eliminated.
The capstan drive motor is equipped with a newly developed CPG built-in AC servo motor.
In CPG, AC voltage corresponding to the number of revolutions of the motor is detected by a detection coil located near the central axis of the motor. The detected signal is a large output, which is advantageous for electronic control. In addition, since the current flowing in the motor coil is controlled, there is no vibration or heat generation unlike the electromagnetic brake type, and efficient and smooth rotation is realized.
AKAI's unique GX head is used for both recording and reproducing heads.
The GX head is highly abrasion resistant, has an ideal shape and mirror finish to improve the tape path and reduce dust accumulation, and enables focused field recording with a sharp bias field.
Equipped with an impedance roller, modulation distortion is reduced by suppressing fine tape vibration that dulls sound.
In addition, the tension arm prevents the tape from getting caught at the start.
Equipped with a 2-position tape selector that can be switched with one touch, low-noise tapes and wide-range tapes can be used separately.
Operation buttons are feather touch type, and direct function change mechanism is adopted for quick and reliable operation switching.
Equipped with a reel size selector that can switch the tension of type 26 (No. 10) and type 17 (No. 7) reels.
At the start, quick tension is applied to improve the start-up characteristics, while during running, winding torque and back tension work to keep the head touch constant. With the reel size selector, you can select the back tension that matches each reel size.
Since the line input and microphone input are independent, mixing recording is possible.
You can also adjust the recording level on an independent volume while watching the VU meter.
Equipped with a unique pause mechanism, the tape shifter waits at the same position as the recording and playback when the tape is paused, so that the tape remains in contact with the head, so that there is no sound break when restarting.
Equipped with an output volume that can adjust the line output.
Follow-up recording is possible.
You can record your absence by connecting the optional remote control unit to the remote control jack.
