Commentary
Stereo tape deck that uses GX head for 4000 series.
The head part uses a 3-head system with independent recording, playback, and erasing heads, enabling simultaneous recording and playback monitoring.
GX heads are used for recording and reproducing heads.
The GX head uses low-noise crystal ferrite realized by unique magnetic material technology, and has excellent dynamic characteristics compared with metal heads such as Sendust and Permalloy. It also has excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics and abrasion resistance, as well as various characteristics such as adhesion of dust and aging.
A traditional 2-lever system is used.
Equipped with sound-on-sound function.
You can record a sound on the left channel in advance, play it back, monitor it with headphones, and record another sound on the right channel with a microphone. In this way, the sound previously recorded on the left channel and the sound newly recorded with the microphone are mixed and recorded on the same right channel. By repeating this operation from right channel to left channel right channel to the left channel and from the left channel to the right channel, you can record multiple sound independently.
The line input level is a non-friction type that operates independently on the left and right.
Since the line and microphone input circuits are independent, mixing recording is possible.
You can also record and play in mono using the Track Selector.
Equipped with a tape selector.
The low-noise position is compatible with SCOTCH #211 and tapes with similar characteristics, and the wide-range position is compatible with SCOTCH #1500, #2000 and equivalent high-power, broadband tapes.
Equipped with an output volume that can adjust the line output and headphone output.
Equipped with an auto-stop mechanism that automatically stops the motor when the tape is wound.
