Tape deck with glass & crystal ferrite head.
The GX 365 d is a tape deck type, and the GX 365 is a tape recorder type with a speaker.
It uses a 3-head system with independent recording, playback, and erasing heads for simultaneous recording and monitoring.
A glass and crystal ferrite head developed by Akai is used for the recording and reproducing heads.
This head is made by applying crystal ferrite (single crystal ferrite) developed for VTR and ultra-precision processing technology for VTR head manufacturing to audio heads. For the first time in the world, single crystal ferrite superior to conventionally used permalloy is used for the core material of head.
The surface of of this head is composed of glass and crystal ferrite, dust does not adhere to it, abrasion is prevented, and excellent frequency characteristics can be obtained by focus field.
A 3-motor configuration is adopted, with a hysteresis synchronous 3-speed motor for the capstan and a 6-pole outer rotor motor for the reel.
Automatic mechanisms such as Compute-0-Matic (automatic recording level control), Reverse-0-Matic (automatic reverse), automatic shut-off and automatic stop are adopted.
With Compute-0-Matic, you can adjust the recording level automatically by simply pressing the set button, and with Reverse-0-Matic, you can reverse as many times as you want until you press the stop button.
Equipped with a changeover switch for SRT tapes, S. R. T. (Super Range Tape) newly developed by Akai can be used.
The electromagnetic brake reliably stops the tape.
You can record overlapping sounds such as sound-on-sound, sound-over-sound, and sound-with-sound.
Operation from a remote location is possible by using the separately sold remote control unit.
