Commentary
A unique reel cassette combination deck that can record and play back open-reel and cassette, and transfer from open-reel to cassette and from cassette to open-reel.
GX-1900D is a tape deck type and GX-1900 is a tape recorder type.
Glass & Crystal Ferrite (GX) heads are used for recording and reproducing heads in the cassette section.
The core material of this head is made by melting ferrite at high temperature of 1,800 ° C and solidifying it into a single crystal with high hardness. Furthermore, since the whole body including the core is covered with glass, dust and dirt do not adhere to the head and wear resistance is improved.
A hysteresis synchronous 2-speed motor is used as the drive motor.
Equipped with a large VU meter.
Equipped with a tape speed equalizer switch, you can set the optimum equalization according to the tape speed for more faithful recording.
In addition, the use of low-noise silicon transistors enables recording and playback with less distortion.
Equipped with a tape lifter to prevent the tape from touching the head surface when fast forwarding or rewinding.
The open-reel section is equipped with an automatic shut-off mechanism. When all the tape is wound up, the power of the entire unit is turned off by the shut-off switch.
The cassette section is equipped with an automatic stop mechanism. When the tape reaches the end, the tape stops running and the operation button is released automatically.
Equipped with a temporary stop lever that can temporarily stop the tape running during recording and playback.
Equipped with a 4-digit index counter with reset button.
Equipped with a unique reel pressing mechanism, the reel is firmly fixed.
