A 4000 series tape deck that employs an oil circulation type oil-free motor.
An oil circulation oil-free type hysteresis synchronous motor is used for the drive motor.
This motor is equipped with a lubrication mechanism using a newly developed cellulose fiber oil-retaining material inside. It is structured to automatically circulate oil using the rotation of the motor and temperature rise. This oil-retaining material functions as a filter as soon as the oil circulation starts, and filters and cleans the oil. The motor is always lubricated with clean oil and can maintain smooth and stable rotation for a long period of time.
The head section uses a 3-head system. By using a dedicated head for erasing, recording, and playback, it is possible to realize high-performance recording and playback while simultaneously monitoring recording.
A 1 μ gap head has been adopted for the head, and excellent characteristics are ensured by providing a gap of 1/1000 mm ultra-precision processing.
Equipped with a tape selector, it is compatible with low noise tapes.
It is equipped with the sound-on-sound function, and it is possible to record multiple recordings by transferring the recordings previously recorded in one track to other tracks and superimposing several recordings.
The line and microphone inputs are designed independently for mixing recording and sound with DIN input for sound with sound mixed with line input.
Equipped with output level control to solve matching with an external amplifier.
Equipped with a temporary stop mechanism, tape travel can be stopped temporarily while recording / regenerating condition.
The unit is equipped with an automatic shut-off mechanism. When the tape comes to a wound or cut area, the shut off switch turns off the power of the whole unit.
Uses a 2-lever operation mechanism.
Equipped with a VU meter.
This meter is linked with a monitor switch and automatically changes to the input level and playback level of the program source.
Equipped with a 4-digit index counter.
