Commentary
Stereo cassette deck with Dolby C Type NR.
Dolby The basic operation principle of C is the same as that of B type. However, C type achieves a total noise reduction of 20 dB by using two B type NR circuits in order to obtain twice as much noise reduction as B type, and by receiving low and high level stages.
In addition, in order to cope with an increase in the amount of encoding, the reference frequency for starting operation is set to 180 Hz in the C type, and operation is performed from a frequency lower than that of the B type, which is set to 485 Hz. Thus, a wide range of encoding is performed slowly, and the sense of discomfort in the sense of hearing is suppressed. In addition, in order to prevent the breathing phenomenon in which noise is breathed, the time constant is set to 1/2 of the B type. In addition, a sliding band method is adopted in which the starting frequency slides according to the frequency of the main component of the input signal.
In addition, an anti-frequency circuit and a spectrum skewing circuit are built in to cope with large input signals in the high-frequency range. saturation circuit and spectrum skewing circuit are built in.
In addition to the 3-stage tape selector, it is equipped with a bias fine adjustment mechanism, and the bias amount can be changed within ± 20% by operating the fine adjustment knob on the front panel.
The head is equipped with a DX recording / reproducing head that uses a hard composite material for the core spacer and a Hi-Bs double-gap ferrite erasing head.
