Commentary
This is a cassette deck that pursues the merits of a component deck.
An upright loading mechanism is used to attach the tape. In addition, Aiwa's original oil dump mechanism enables smooth operation of the eject operation.
The cassette lid is detachable, making it easy to perform maintenance such as cleaning of the tape running path including the head.
It uses a timer standby mechanism. If you connect a timer and set the deck to a recording standby state, recording will start automatically at the desired time. This standby mechanism can also be used as an alarm playback because it can be used in regenerating condition.
In the standby state, the pinch roller and capstan are set apart from each other, so there is no need to worry about deformation of the pinch roller.
It is equipped with a Dolby system to reduce the hissing peculiar to tape stereo.
The tape selector is designed so that the bias and equalizer are independent and can be selected in three stages.
It is equipped with an input selector that greatly improves the SN ratio when recording from line input.
In the past, the SN ratio was degraded by reducing the level of the line input signal with a resistor and amplifying it again with a microphone amplifier. With the AD-7300, the SN ratio is improved by 10 dB because the line input signal can be directly sent to the recording amplifier.
The mechanism uses a DC servo motor that is resistant to fluctuations in voltage and other factors. In addition, the pinch roller, which slides forward along with the head during normal play, is firmly fixed to the main chassis. This reduces play during operation, ensures accurate parallelism with the capstan, and ensures stable tape travel.
In addition to the recording volume, there is a volume for playback only.
It uses a full auto-stop mechanism that stops the mechanism when the tape ends regardless of whether it is in recording / playback / fast-forward / rewind mode.
The head uses an ultra-hard permalloy head that has a longer life than conventional permalloy heads.
Equipped with a VU meter.
There was a side wood as an option sold separately.
