Commentary

This tube type equalizer amplifier was developed as an anniversary model for A & M, which celebrated its 10th anniversary.

The equalizer circuit uses a 2-stage NF method and the output stage uses a low-impedance, high-output SRPP circuit. The NF circuit is stably driven over a wide band for low distortion factor.

It is equipped with a flat amplifier so that it can output stably with low impedance even when the attenuator is used.
A single-stage SRPP circuit is used for the circuit configuration, and as it is sent out with low output impedance like a normal preamplifier, all power amplifiers can be driven regardless of vacuum tube or transistor type.
In addition, the Line input terminal is mounted so that the CD input can be switched in the same way as other preamplifiers.

The power supply section uses a rectifier tube that operates faster than a silicon diode and does not generate pulse noise. It has a low-noise design in which it is supplied to each amplifier stage through a semiconductor filter, a regulator circuit with a vacuum tube, and a large-capacity capacitor bank.

For signal lines, we have adopted manual wiring that does not use any boards.
Each lead wire is carefully wired one by one. For example, the best possible wiring material, copper wire, is used at every point, and the ground circuit is switched for each input.

The chassis is made of 1.6 mm thick iron plate, which is also used for heavy main amplifiers.
In addition, copper plating is used depending on the amplification part to suppress vibration and at the same time to make it nonmagnetic.

High-quality parts are used both in Japan and overseas to ensure high reliability.

It uses a new type of high-quality and high-precision volume.
We have developed and adopted a new material, carbon resistance, a brass machined structure that is resistant to vibration, and a gold-plated multi-contact wire brush that is not only good in sound quality and accuracy but also good in operation feeling.

It has an equalizer direct output jack so that it can output directly from the equalizer without passing through an attenuator.
