Commentary
This speaker system is the basic model of the Bolero series.
A 12.5 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses a double-voice coil system and Nomex bobbin with excellent heat resistance. The diaphragm is made of Neoflex, which is lightweight, rigid, and has moderate internal loss.
A 2.5 cm inverted dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The use of a lightweight and highly rigid inverted dome made of fiberglass material realizes excellent phase and directional characteristics. In addition, the voice coil system can be made smaller and the area of the diaphragm can be made larger, enabling playback over a wide range with less distortion.
The unit is from France and the enclosure is from Germany.
There were seven different finishes for the enclosure, and prices varied depending on the finish.
A special speaker stand was sold separately.
The stand for Bolero was made in Japan with matte black baked paint on steel material, and made in Germany with MDF material (piano black and walnut).
