SV-MD11
Commentary

Portable DAT recorder corresponding to the professional specification of SV-MD1.

The SV-MD11 is equipped with an XLR3 type balanced input terminal to be compatible with the Canon connector used in most professional equipment. In addition, the first stage amplifier section of the input amplifier has been made independent to improve the maximum input level, reduce distortion, and achieve a high S/N ratio.

Equipped with left and right independent microphone limiters, you can record sudden large input in live recording without distortion.

A Mash type A/D converter is installed in the recording system centering on the A/D converter.
This circuit is equipped with an A/D converter of 64 times oversampling A/D conversion method and a digital filter. The Mash solves the oscillation problem by connecting a 1-bit quantizer in three or more stages, and achieves a stable S/N ratio of approximately 90 dB at 16 bits or more. In addition, by improving the frequency and phase characteristics of the recording system, deterioration of group delay characteristics is suppressed.
This A/D converter is installed on both the left and right sides to eliminate the phase between the channels. It is combined with a high-precision digital filter and a third order analog low-pass filter to realize high-definition recording.

The mechanism section is equipped with a 15 mm diameter ultra-small cylinder completed by adopting an amorphous ferrite composite small-size head and an ultra-small high-precision shaft bearing, etc. It is also equipped with a newly developed ultra-small brushless DD motor and an optical phase sensor and rotation sensor for servo, ensuring stable control without interference with the electric signal system.
In addition, a precision die cast chassis is used to optimize the head touch of the tape.

The analog audio circuit uses a newly developed dedicated IC, and the power supply circuit separates the digital and analog circuits to eliminate interference between the circuits.

A dedicated microphone amplifier independent on the left and right is used to realize low distortion and low noise.

The backlight of the display is designed to turn off automatically after 20 seconds when the battery is running, or continuously when the AC adapter is used.

Equipped with an auto program numbering function, you can automatically record the music number when recording.
The detection level between songs can be switched between - 40 dB and - 60 dB. You can also press the PLAY key during recording to set the program number at any location.

Equipped with end search, it can automatically detect the end of the recorded part.

Equipped with a tape counter / step display.
When a program is reserved, the tape counter displays the reservation number (which song is being searched for for reservation).
