Commentary

CD player with newly developed 4 dac / 18-bit conversion system.

The D/A conversion section uses a 4-DAC 18-bit conversion system.
This circuit has a 4 dac configuration using a D/A converter exclusively for the positive signal side and a D/A converter exclusively for the negative signal side for Lch and Rch, respectively. Each component is D/A converted and synthesized by a differential amplifier. At this time, a newly developed 4 dac processor LSI distinguishes between plus / minus signals and performs switching operation to shut out the 0 cross distortion caused by the step at the 0 cross point in principle.
The digital filter employs a 266 order high-precision 18-bit 4-times oversampling digital filter. Compared to the 16-bit 2-times oversampling output waveform, this digital filter has four times the resolution of the output level and twice the resolution of the time axis.

The classAA method is used for the sample-and-hold circuit, line-out circuit, and headphone circuit to realize faithful waveform transmission even under complicated loads.

In order to reduce sound pressure and vibration transmitted from the speakers, a metal chassis, special damping sheet, multi-layered base made of different materials such as TNRC (Technics non-resonance compound), and multi-layered top plate are adopted, and high vibration damping effect is obtained.
In order to reduce vibration from the floor, four large insulators are used to reduce vibration transmitted to the player. In addition, the optical deck is made into a double floating structure with multiple insulators.
By floating the power transformer, which is the source of vibration inside the CD player, we prevent the vibration of the transformer from being transmitted to the outside.

Dedicated power transformers are used for both the audio and digital circuits to prevent noise generated by highly variable digital circuits and servo circuits from entering the audio circuit.
A low-noise active servo power supply is used for the power supply for the audio circuit to ensure a stable power supply.

It has a coaxial digital output terminal and a digital output ON/OFF switch on the front panel.

Equipped with a 2-speed search dial, it is possible to perform a minute head search in both forward and reverse directions. You can choose between 2 modes of playback speed per rotation : approximately 1 second (slow) and approximately 30 seconds (fast), and access is possible in 1/25 second increments at the minimum.

Equipped with direct access function by 20 key operation.

It is equipped with edit guide function equipped with digital peak search, and digital peak search between A and B is also possible.

It is equipped with a large 2-channel digital level meter with 20 segments each for left and right.

Equipped with a playing position display, the total time of the disc and the position of the music can be displayed simultaneously.

It is equipped with functions such as auto-queue, 32-track random program, random play, one track / all track / program track / repeat between A and B, and programmable music scan.

Equipped with timer play function which can select 3 modes of normal / random / program.

Wireless remote control is included.
