SL-P900
Commentary

G-series CD player with Mash 1-bit DAC and digital servo.

The D/A converter is equipped with a Mash 1-bit DAC, which in principle does not generate non-linear distortion such as 0 cross distortion, and has a high ability to reproduce minute signals. In particular, the SL-P900 uses a more sophisticated circuit to improve sound quality.
First, by doubling the operating clock frequency, the theoretical S/N ratio in the audible band has been improved by more than 20 dB. In addition, since the PWM waveform is vertically symmetrical centered on the PWM waveform at 0 output, there is theoretically no second harmonic generation even at large amplitude.
In the SL-P900, this is mounted on a single chip, and the 8 dac configuration that cancels harmonics with a differential circuit realizes higher S/N ratio, low distortion, and high linearity.

Digital servo is used for the servo circuit.
Digital Servo uses software processing to control the amount of focus, tracking, and traverse servo for each disc to be played. This enables stable servo characteristics to reduce fluctuations in the time axis of the digital signal and the ripple of the servo current, improving sound quality and disc playability.

By strengthening measures against external vibrations that affect playback sound, vibration from the floor is greatly reduced by four insulators in the legs and an optical deck insulator composed of spring and viscoelastic material. In addition, the effect of air vibrations caused by sound pressure is also reduced by a multi-layer composite of TNRC base and metal chassis base with excellent vibration damping characteristics.
In addition, the TNRC disk tray is placed in a center with a well-balanced weight, and a swing arm mechanism is used for the tray drive mechanism to achieve silent operation.

The power supply section is equipped with dedicated power transformers for the digital signal / servo system and the audio system, respectively, to prevent adverse effects on sound quality caused by digital signals containing many high-frequency components such as the system clock and strong servo current.

Equipped with an optical digital output terminal that can be soft muted and level attenuated.

Equipped with two analog outputs, fixed and variable, and the variable output can be adjusted by remote control electric volume.
Gold plating is used for the lineout output and headphone output.

Class AA is used for the line-out circuit, enabling faithful waveform transmission that is less affected by load fluctuations.

It uses high-quality parts carefully selected through repeated listening and characteristic tests. It also uses carbon film resistors with non-magnetic caps, high-quality electrolytic capacitors, and polypropylene capacitors for audio.

Equipped with a display mode function, the display can be turned off by remote control operation.
Even when it is off, it will light for 5 seconds if you press the key.

Wireless remote control is included.
