Commentary

DVD audio / video player capable of 192kHz/24bit.

The D/A converter is equipped with a newly developed 4th order 64 times oversampling 4 bit output-type noise-shaping improved Mash.
This allows for a dynamic range of 144 dB (theoretical value) over the entire playback bandwidth of approximately 100 kHz by dividing the 24 bits of the quantization bit into 4 bits x 4 for requantization.
This solves the problems of conventional 1-bit and multi-bit D/A converters, and achieves both high precision and non-adjustment, making it compatible with 192kHz/24bit.

In order to reproduce the stereo signal of CD and DVD video (44.1 khz and 48 khz) with higher sound quality, it is equipped with digital remastering processing. In this circuit, the signal of 44.1kHz/16bit is remastered to 88.2kHz/24bit, and the signal is interpolated to the very high band near the natural sound which is beyond 20 khz, the audible band limit of CD, by using the D/A converter for 192kHz/24bit.

We aim to completely eliminate signal interference by using new patterns and simplifying circuits block by block.
We are also reviewing all circuit systems, components, and mechanisms, including optical mechanisms that realize high-precision signal reading, power transformers that greatly reduce noise generation, construction with excellent rigidity, and low-noise design.

The electrolytic capacitor uses the TAKEII Ver. 3.0 capacitor, the latest version of the electrolytic capacitor using Technics original Take-Ko-Sho separators, which improves sound quality in the middle and high range.

An R core power transformer is used for the power transformer.
This transformer uses a circular core with a uniform magnetic flux and no joints in the core, so leakage magnetic flux is extremely small and noise in the power supply circuit is greatly reduced.

Virtual Battery Operation The power supply circuit is used to completely eliminate the surrounding noise from the power supply and digital circuit which affects the reproduction of minute signals.

For analog circuits, we have adopted ClassAA circuits unique to Technics.

Heavy-duty hybrid construction vibration-proof base is adopted.

The built-in audio-only circuit prevents interference with the audio circuit by turning off the video signal during DVD audio playback.

It has a built-in Dolby Digital / DTS digital surround decoder.

The video circuit is equipped with a 10-bit / 27-MHz video D/A converter.

Equipped with wide VSS (Virtual Surround Sound) function, when playing Dolby Digital 5.1 ch software, surround effect can be obtained even with two front speakers L and R.

Equipped with a monitor selector function.

A light storage type joystick TV-compatible remote controller is included.
