Commentary
Integrated amplifier with all-silicon transistor configuration.
ITL and OTL circuits are used in the main amplifier section. The transformer is removed from both the input and output to create a complete transformerless circuit using a low-noise PNP silicon transistor, which realizes high output power and low distortion.
We have also adopted an all-transistor design and a PNP type silicon transistor for the driver circuit to reduce noise.
It has separate terminals for the preamplifier and main amplifier, and each can be used independently.
The front end of the FM tuner uses a two stage FET amplifier and a four stage varicon, which improves sensitivity and selectivity as well as cross-modulation and spurious interference.
In addition, the IF stage employs a 5-stage amplifier and a 2-stage direct-coupled limiter to eliminate external noise and Radio noises and improve reception capability.
A ceramic filter with sharp selectivity is adopted in the FM multiplex section, and malfunction due to inter-station noise is suppressed by improving moisture resistance and heat resistance.
The AM tuner section eliminates the disadvantages of the transistor-type AM receiver by applying a forward AGC to the high-frequency stage. The AM tuner section also incorporates a ceramic IF filter, which exhibits excellent characteristics against heat and moisture, and provides a wide reception band and sharp selection performance by utilizing mechanical resonance.
High-sensitivity ferrite antenna is used for the antenna.
