Speaker switching system with speaker efficiency compensation function.

It consists of preamplifier unit SSP-01 and selector unit SSU-01.
Connect the source device to the SSP-01, connect it to the SSU-01 via a power amplifier, and connect the connection cable between the SSP-01 and the SSU-01. This can be used as a speaker selector with efficiency compensation.
Normally, only three pairs of speakers can be switched, but by adding the SSU 01, six pairs of speakers can be switched.
When using your own preamp, connect the SSP 01 between the preamp and the power amp.

Equipped with efficiency compensation function, speakers with different efficiency can be played back at the same sound pressure level.
The gain of the preamp is preset according to the selected speaker, and is adjusted to the compensation value. This allows you to enjoy the difference in tone and expression of the speakers without being affected by the difference in efficiency.

The switch section of the SSU-01 uses a power MOS-FET to achieve low on-resistance and a semiconductor switch to minimize changes over time.
In addition, the switch is a double-ended type and is compatible with BTL amplifiers.
The maximum allowable current of the switch element is 180A.

When the power is turned off, a dummy load is connected to the speaker input terminal to prevent the vacuum tube amplifier from opening.
The preamplifier unit SSP-01 is a 4-input line amplifier.

The SSP-01 circuit is configured to switch the input using an analog switch and an operational amplifier of TI Co., then adjust the volume using TI Co. PCA2310, and output through the buffer of the operational amplifier.
The buffer amplifier is buffered by LME49720 so that the sound quality does not change when the volume is adjusted.

A straight-through LAN cable (UTP cable) is used to connect the SSP-01 and SSU-01.
The attached cable is 5m, but can be used up to 15m.

It comes with a remote control and can operate the preamp section and speaker switching section.
