FM/AM tuner designed with emphasis on functionality and usability.

It is equipped with preset functions for a total of 12 stations, 6 FM stations and 6 AM stations.

It is equipped with an auto-tuning system, and the push-type up / down switch automatically finds out the frequency of the broadcasting station.
The switch can be tuned in two ways : auto-tuning and step-tuning.
When the switch is pressed firmly, it is automatically tuned. In this method, the frequency automatically goes up / down and stops as soon as the station is detected. When the switch is held down, the station selection starts again.
With this method, the frequency is increased / decreased in 100 kHz steps for FM and 1 kHz steps for AM.

Equipped with an automatic display function.
The automatic station display is linked to the AM/FM push-button switch, and the name of the station you are listening to is displayed.
During FM, the stored station name appears in green in the ivory yellow light, while when switched to AM, the station name appears in black.

Built-in memory backup function.
With the dry battery set in the back, the set broadcasting station can be stored for a long time even if the power cord is removed.
The signal indicator tells you when to replace it.

Equipped with the last one memory, it can store the state of use before turning off the power switch.
When used in conjunction with an audio timer, it can be used for recording while you are away.

Quartz PLL synthesizer system is adopted.
In this method, the phase of the receiving station frequency is compared with the frequency from the local oscillator circuit built into the tuner, and any error is corrected immediately.

The FM front-end section uses a back-to-back type high-Q varicap, which is equivalent to a 4-row varicon, to improve the image interference rejection capability of adjacent stations.
In addition, a new frequency impedance type DC voltage supply system has been adopted to prevent noise contamination from local transmission, and high S/N ratio has been realized in combination with IF detection and multi-stage.
The IF stage uses a ceramic filter with excellent group delay characteristics, and the detection stage uses quadrature detection ICs.

All the low-frequency circuits that handle music signals are DC, and are NFB multi-configuration based on a high-slew rate DC amplifier.
The 19 kHz pilot signal is cut through a tracking-type auto-cancel circuit, and the composite signal is sent to a switching circuit and then demodulated by a balanced-type phase detector PLL to eliminate the negative effects on the music signal.

Newly developed low-noise loop antenna is used.
This antenna is resistant to electrolytic noise and is also effective in places with weak radio waves such as reinforced steel buildings.
This loop antenna can be separated from the main unit, and can be set at the optimum receiving position using the attached cord.

Equipped with an FM noise canceller.

Equipped with two antenna input terminals, one for 75 Ω coaxial and the other for 300 Ω.
