FM/AM tuner with improved practical performance by thoroughly pursuing S/N, distortion, and selectivity.

The front-end uses a combination of FET and four variable capacitor to improve intermodulation characteristics and image ratio.

The FM-IF stage combines a ceramic filter with 6-element 3-stage amplification and a 3-stage limiter with one IC that starts operation with an antenna input of 1.5 μ V. This gives excellent IF characteristics and high-quality reception.

A new type auto MPX noise canceller circuit using Cds is mounted. This circuit automatically operates when the input is low to suppress noise.

The circuit configuration of the MPX stage achieves high reliability with two SCA stages, an LC-type carrier leak filter with sharp cut-off characteristics, and an adjustable molded coil block.

The frequency scale is equally spaced from 76 to 90 MHz by the use of a 4-series varicon of high-precision frequency number line type. The horizontal wide dial can read every 250 Hz of 1 MHz divided into 4.
In addition, it uses a fantastic illumination dial made of smoked acrylic, and the guide is self-written and easy to see.

Since the FM antenna sensitivity can be switched between Distant and Local, stable reception without distortion is possible even in areas with strong or weak electric fields.

In addition to the 300 Ω balanced antenna input terminal, a 75 Ω terminal is mounted.

For FM reception, a precise tuning method using two large meters is used.
The single meter, which represents the strength of the radio wave, and the center tuning meter, which is correctly tuned to the center of the discriminator, allow perfect tuning to the minimum point of distortion.

A noise-locked muting circuit is used to eliminate noise between stations when selecting channels for FM broadcasting. This circuit eliminates noise between stations.
An adjuster is attached to the rear panel to adjust the operation level so that the optimum muting can be operated in both strong and weak electric fields.

The IF part of AM is designed with high sensitivity and high selectivity using a 2-element ceramic filter.
In addition, a large bar antenna is used, and reception by the built-in antenna becomes more sensitive, and interference is eliminated by the high impedance method of the antenna circuit.

When you switch the selector switch, the AM, FM and FM-Stereo indicator lights up.
The FM-Stereo indicator circuit uses a thyristor method that does not cause any malfunction, and lights automatically when FM stereo signals are received.

There is an amplifier output terminal that can be adjusted from 0 V to 1.5 V by the level control on the front panel, and a recording terminal for a tape deck or tape recorder fixed at 0.4 V.
