SANSUI SP-K1

Commentary
A compact speaker system that uses Sansui's traditional lattice design.
It was developed based on thorough data analysis and trial listening using B-2103MOS as a reference machine.
It is equipped with a 13 cm cone woofer for the low range and a 5 cm cone tweeter for the high range.
Each unit has a low-distortion magnetic circuit and a non-prescone. By thorough adjustment, the linear phase with minimum distortion is realized and excellent orientation is obtained.
In the network section, to cope with even slight phase shifts, the woofer is 6-dB / oct-high-cut and the tweeter is 12-dB / oct-low-cut. This asymmetric network improves the sound connection.
The enclosure has a bass reflex structure and a duct is installed behind the speakers.
In addition, a reflection baffle is attached to the woofer unit on the front panel to increase energy density structurally and enable rich bass reproduction even with a small speaker.
On the tweeter part of the front panel, a wool fail-safe is attached, and a sound absorbing material of the same quality is incorporated inside the enclosure to suppress the oceanic whitetip shark of sound generated by resonance.
The front grill uses a traditional design that combines cypress leaf materials in a grid pattern.
A gold-plated banana plug terminal is used for the input terminal, and it is also magnetic resistant.
