Commentary

This is a 3-way floor type speaker system based on the SP-G300 of double woofer system with an additional super tweeter.
It is designed to provide excellent characteristics from large input to Oire power with an emphasis on reproduction capability at low volume.

A double woofer paradrive system combining a 30.5 cm cone type woofer with a stagger is used for the low range. It has acquired the same ability as a woofer of 38 cm or more.
The magnetic circuit uses a 65 φ long voice coil to provide 300W input resistance, and is equipped with a 156 φ x20t ferrite magnet.
An up-roll type with thermally molded foam resin is used for the edge, and aluminum die-cast is used for the frame. Together with the deadning caused by the special dump material, sufficient strength is obtained, resonance is prevented, and adverse effects on other units are suppressed.

A horn type tweeter equipped with an acoustic lens is installed in the high frequency range.
Similar to the SP-G300, it uses a horn type rear drive multi-hole equalizer using a 120 φ large ferrite magnet, and a 45 φ edge-wise-wound voice coil for the voice coil.
The diaphragm is made of 50 μ m thick duralumin manufactured in the United States and molded by pneumatic molding method.
In addition, an acoustic lens is installed in front of the horn to obtain a wide directivity of 120 ° in the horizontal direction over 8 Hz to 20 kHz.

A ring radiator horn type super tweeter is installed in the super high range.
A ring-shaped diaphragm is used and supported at two points to clarify the center of vibration and to narrow the distance from the equalizer for smooth reproduction.
In addition, the vertical slit realizes excellent directional characteristics.

The components used in the network section are a newly developed MP capacitor and a high-grade metalized mylar film capacitor, which is well known for its sound quality and characteristics.
A large annealed laminate core is used for the inductor coil to keep DC resistance and strain at large input low. Attention is also paid to the position and direction of the coil and wire routing to improve sound quality.

Two wound attenuators are mounted on the baffle plate to adjust the level of the mid - and high-frequency range from -50dB to + 4 dB.

The enclosure has a symmetrical unit layout to improve orientation.
The baffle plate is made of Yonematsu plywoods with excellent vibration damping characteristics, the side plates are made of 20 mm thick high-density particle boards developed for acoustic use, and the corners are made of solid walnut.
In addition, vibration mode analysis by computer and repeated trial listening are used for reinforcement to reduce unnecessary resonance.

Casters with stoppers are mounted.
