Commentary

A floor-type speaker system using JBL units.

The unit is equipped with D123 which is a 30 cm cone type full range speaker.
This unit is made to satisfy the conditions required for speakers by using carefully selected magnet materials and cone paper, and by using a voice coil with aluminum ribbon wire precisely wound by hand on a bobbin.

The front baffle has a blindfold board that can be removed and upgraded to 2-way with a separately sold JBL unit, and is also designed for easy network installation.

The enclosure is specially developed by Sansui, the front and rear baffles are made of high-quality Scandinavian birch plywood, and the inside of the enclosure is made of six stiffeners designed to reduce the box rumbling of the side top plate and to bring out the best of the unit.
The SP 505 j enclosure is hand-made, each piece of plywood is carefully finished with a plane, finished with an oil finish, and the front grill uses Sansui's unique Shippo lattice made of natural cypress wood.
